The Caves in NZ and Japan

What do you think this is? Do you think these are star? In fact, this is fly larva called glowworms. When I look this picture at first, I couldn’t believe it is fly larva. You can watch it in Waitomo. Waitomo is a town where is in West part of North island of New Zealand. In Waitomo, there are three caves which names are Glowworm Cave, Aranui Cave, and Ruakuri Cave. You can enjoy tour and some activities like a shearing of rabbits, rafting, and so on. The glowworm is living in all three caves, and there is course which is in forest which is out of caves. I would like to watch it live.

I also researched about a cave in Japan. The name of cave is Suse-ja-ana. It is in Aichi, Toyohashi. It is a country-designated historic site. It is said that someone live in this cave in the Jomon period. The earthenware and some instruments such as stoneware and bone or horn implement was dug up, and also discovered food leftovers. There are some legends that large snake had lived, and it is hence the name Suse-ja-ana. Besides this, there is buried money which was war funds of Katuyori Takeda.

This is main festival in Neuchatel, so it is held on large scale. Wine makers who ride on festival car hand out wines, cheeses, fruits, sweets, etc to audience. We can see Guggen musik parade, fanfare parade, children's parade, too. Look at the right bottom picture. It is called "Corso Fleuri", and it parades through the city. My Summer Vacation

I had a good summer vacation. I went to Nemu-no-sato to learn English. At first, I was nervous because my friend who was supposed to join together was absent. But I could make new friends right now. Before arriving at Nemu, we went to Ise Shrine, and it was first time for me to visit there. We ate Ise-Udon at Okage-Yokotyo close to Ise-Shrine, and it was very delicious!

After an hour driving from Ise, We arrived at Nemu. During English learning camping, we had some classes and games. Any and every of them was interesting and exciting. Especially, I liked “Olympic games”. We did a three-legged race, carry egg which put on spoon, dirty doughnut and so on.

We watched “Coach Carter”. It was very good movie, and I learned preciousness of effort and don’t giving up from it. But I was about to sleep during watching movie…

Most exciting thing was Karaoke. We sang and danced madly. All of them were nice singer! I was bathed in sweat. I was too excited, so I could not sleep quite a while. I chatted with room mates till late at night.

It was very good experience and opportunity to develop my English skills, and make new friends. It will become my memory which I never forget.
